Fractional Chief Partnership Officer

The partnerships
that open
doors.

I serve as your embedded senior partnership executive — opening doors, managing high-stakes conversations, and turning the right introductions into outcomes that matter.

"Strategy doesn't fail on paper.
It fails in the room."

About Laura

Aligning the
partnerships that
open doors.

I work with founders and executives in high-stakes environments where strategy alone is not enough. I align the partnerships — across investors, capital partners, and key stakeholders — that determine whether decisions actually move forward, and I often operate alongside leadership in critical growth discussions.

I am retained to create strategic access, select and map critical stakeholders, and navigate complex decision environments where capital and outcomes are determined. I help clients identify where influence truly sits, how alignment is built, and how to engage decision-makers with precision, credibility, and timing.

"People don't knock. They are introduced — and ready."

My background spans private capital, government-adjacent advisory, and complex stakeholder negotiations. I started my career in family business mediation, and later served as Partner and Chief Relationship Officer at a multi-family office based in Vancouver, Canada, facilitating private placements on behalf of ultra-high-net-worth families and their companies, then human capital placements once that capital was in place and growth was needed. I have also worked with SMEs pursuing expansion and growth, integrating strategic partners, government partnerships, CxO fractional talent, and additional strategic introductions to complement their mission.

I work selectively with a small number of clients. I do not operate as a broker, raise capital, nor do I provide volume introductions. I advise on who to engage, when to engage, and how decisions are actually made.

I am also the Founder of Altevere, a female fractional CxO company, and CanadianPolicy.com, a free and independent platform that promotes civic engagement and political activism in Canada through clear policy analysis, public accountability reporting, and tools such as its Policy Lab — which enables citizens to directly engage with their elected representatives.

Laura holds a BA, Political Science (Acadia University), an MA, International Policy & Diplomacy (Staffordshire University, UK), and is an Exempt Market Dealer (Canadian Securities Institute).

The Role

What is a Chief
Partnership Officer?

A Chief Partnership Officer is the executive responsible for the partnerships that determine whether an organization grows or stalls. Not marketing. Not sales. The senior-level work of building trust, opening doors, and sustaining the connections that lead to new alliances, access, and strategic outcomes.

Most organizations need this function but cannot justify — or have not yet found — a full-time hire at this level. A Fractional CPO brings the same seniority, judgment, and network access on a retained basis: embedded in your business, activated when it matters most.

P

Partnerships

Identifying, building, and sustaining the high-value partnerships that create optionality — investors, partners, advisors, key institutional contacts, and regulators or bureaucrats if you operate in a regulated space.

A

Access

Getting you into rooms that are otherwise closed. Warm introductions, curated referrals, and a network built on genuine trust — not transactional exchanges.

O

Opportunity

Turning trusted introductions into real opportunity. Deals, collaborations, and outcomes that move the business forward.

What I Do

Three areas.
One objective.

I work across three core areas — each calibrated to the moment your business is in and the conversations you need to win.

01

Partnership Readiness

I work with founders and CEOs to refine their narrative, restructure materials for clarity and impact, and prepare them for the questions and scrutiny that accompany high-stakes partnership conversations. Not just what you say, how you are perceived when you say it.

02

Strategic Positioning

I help translate complex, technical, or operational businesses into clear, commercially compelling narratives. Your messaging must align with your growth objectives, partnership strategy, or pivotal transition, ensuring the right story reaches the right people at precisely the right moment.

03

Access & Introduction

When appropriate, I leverage a highly curated international network to facilitate introductions to investors, executives, and partners. Structured thoughtfully and selectively — not transactional. Every introduction is designed to support meaningful, aligned outcomes.

How I Work

Precision,
not process.

Each engagement is built around your business, your moment, and the specific decision environment you are navigating. I engage selectively — because precision requires it.

01

Confidential Conversation

We begin with a private, no-obligation discussion. I want to understand your business deeply — not just the role you need filled or the capital you're raising, but what is actually at stake and where friction exists.

02

Strategic Assessment

I develop a deep understanding of your business — identifying where value truly lies and where positioning, narrative, or stakeholder strategy may be misaligned. This is the foundation everything else is built on.

03

Engagement & Execution

Depending on your needs, I work alongside you to sharpen materials, prepare leadership for scrutiny, map stakeholders, and — where warranted — orchestrate introductions with precision and timing. I often operate directly in critical growth discussions.

04

Continued Partnership

The most enduring success comes from relationships built on credibility, transparency, and shared purpose. I remain a trusted advisor as your business evolves — available when the stakes are high and discretion matters.
